In 1987, when Japan National Railways was split into several private companies,
Asahi Group founded a joint venture company in Taiwan. Since then it has built
a global network with a large presence in East and Southeast Asia, including
Malaysia, Indonesia, and China, which has the largest population in the
world.
At present the group has eight overseas manufacturing plants in four countries.
Today, everything including people, objects and money are globalized. The needs
of business corporations are internationally sophisticated and diverse.
To satisfy
those needs, Asahi Group will provide the products required by its customers
by
fully utilizing the group’s global network. Furthermore, since the group is
manufacturing at eight overseas sites, it is possible to hedge the risks
associated
with concentrating manufacturing at one site, and therefore it is able
to reliably
provide the products.
With the corporate philosophy “We should contribute to society through the
integration of wisdom and sensitivity and through the development of new
technologies,” we will improve the ability of respective employees worldwide,
and try to establish a firm trust with customers, while maintaining a global
viewpoint as a demand-creating company.
